ChatGPT: How to use it to digitize your handwritten notes for free

This is probably the most underrated feature enabled by GPT-4o. Here\'s how to do it.

However, if you take notes, you lose the benefit of having your notes digitized. With ChatGPT, you know you get the best of both worlds.

When OpenAI added GPT-4o to the free version of ChatGPT in May, it allowed users to upload files like images and documents. The update now allows users to manipulate images in a variety of ways, including extracting text.

With this function, you can load handwritten documents, load notes, meetings, memos, and lists, and converted them into text.

Next, you can use this text to create a new content and insert it into a presentation, e -mail, ...

Sounds too good to be true? I thought the same thing. But after testing the tool several times, I can assure you that it works effectively and quickly. It's easy to start the work and you don't want to stop as soon as you start.

1. Log in to your OpenAI account.

If you don't already have an account, sign up. Otherwise, log in with your OpenAI credentials.

You can access ChatGPT without creating an OpenAI account, but you'll need to log in to access GPT-4o and its many benefits (like loading images). Luckily, creating an account is easy and the benefits are well worth it.

If you've never created a ChatGPT account, you can easily do so from the login page. You can also sign in with an existing Google or Microsoft account. We chose the latter option so that you don't have to remember another username and password.

2. Upload an image

After logging in, you will be redirected to the ChatGPT interface with an empty text field. There is a paperclip icon next to the text field that you can click to upload a photo from different sources like Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, your computer, etc.

If an image is already available on your device, you can drag it into the text field.

I wouldn\'t worry about how your text looks, as I uploaded a sticky note I wrote over the weekend in cursive, as seen below, and ChatGPT didn\'t have no problem understanding and displaying the text.

If you enter the image without asking for text, ChatGPT will most often automatically extract the text and present it to you typed. However, it is recommended that you add a simple text invitation so that you can extract text from this image, for example, to guarantee that the cats in the battle are waiting for a task. \ "By pressing the entry.

3 Use the text for what you want

Once ChatGPT has generated the extracted text, you can verify that the text was generated.

In every case I tried, the bot was verbatim accurate. You can then copy and paste the text anywhere you want.

Use cases include presentations, emails, virtual sticky notes, charts, and more.
