Moroccan federation's first response to the news that the 2030 World Cup final will be held in Madrid

The Moroccan Football Federation has responded to the recent news that Madrid has been chosen to host the final of the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco will jointly organize with Spain and Portugal.

The Moroccan Football Federation said in a statement on its website: "The Morocco-Portugal-Spain joint candidacy committee for the 2030 FIFA World Cup held a new meeting in Agadir on June 27 and 28. This working meeting was mainly focused on inspecting a number of candidate sites and putting the last adjustments and touches on the joint candidacy file of the three countries, before submitting it at the end of July to FIFA, in its final form," the Moroccan Federation said in a statement.

"The Tripartite Committee emphasizes that during its discussions, no final decisions were made regarding the choice of the number of stadiums, their geographical distribution or the number of matches to be hosted by each of the three countries, and clarifies that any official information on these aspects will be communicated through official channels."

Morocco aspires to host the 2030 World Cup final in a giant stadium that will be the largest in the world in the city of Bensliman, with a capacity of 117,000 spectators, while Spain seeks to host the final at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium, the stronghold of Real Madrid, after the same stadium hosted the final of the 1982 World Cup organized by Spain alone.
